![]() ![]() Tyche (or Tykhe) is the Greek goddess of luck and destiny. Also, you've heard a poem/song about her about a million times and probably never knew. Fun fact: our modern depiction of Justice (you know, that statue lady holding scales) as being blindfolded comes from Fortuna being depicted that same way. So I present, for your information and spiritual guidance, some deities that might be able to help the next time you reeeeeeeally want that copy of Bad Rats! Er, I mean, uh, Secret of the Magic Crystals! No wait, Skyrim! No no, that's not right: Dota 2! Yeah, that's it!įortuna is the Roman goddess of, well, luck and fortune obviously! But bewarned, she is the goddess of both good and bad luck, so don't piss her off. Or luck, or fortune, or wealth, prosperity, or chaos, or what have you, you lovable pagan, you. Ignoring, of course, how this is not at all how randomness truly works, I was wondering if anyone is aware of or actually prays to one of the numerous gods and /or goddesses of randomness. ![]() It usually looks like this: “I hope a god of randomness picks me!!!!!”. I've noticed in the comments to a lot of giveaways, besides thanks, a lot of people have asked for divine intervention to win a giveaway. Welp, no, but there is the gift of Knowledge. Ah, sorry, you thought there might be a giveaway here. ![]()
